K+S Potash Canada is pleased to have been selected as a finalist for the 2015 ABEX Priority Focus Award, which is presented to a Saskatchewan business that has gone above and beyond in demonstration of business excellence, in an area that mirrors a select Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce policy priority.

In 2015, the policy priority selected is Youth Entrepreneurship. The award winner for 2015 will have demonstrated commitment and dedication to the enhancement of entrepreneurial skills in young people. Donations of time by staff, in-kind donations, and monetary contributions are all considered.

KSPC was nominated based on some of our Community Investment initiatives, including our work with the Oskayak Program by Enactus, which helps mentor students in the high school’s Entrepreneurship 20 and 30 classes; The Princess Shop, a nonprofit organization that assists young women with their career progression through mentorship programs; the National Mining Games, which helps youth develop business skills, particularly in mining, which will one day help with their entrepreneurial ambitions; and First Nations and Métis youth scholarships, which provide financial assistance to students pursuing secondary education.

The winner will be announced on Saturday, October 24 at the 2015 ABEX Awards Ceremony in Saskatoon.
