Supply Chain Coordinator
The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible to coordinate an efficient and effective network planning for rail and vessel transportation including inventory management to ensure goods availability at the final shipping points to customers. The individual will interact with various internal and external supply chain partners, including loading facilities, railways, inspection service providers, agencies, chartering agents, ship brokers and ocean shipping lines. The Supply Chain Coordinator will interact with K+S internal units in Germany (e.g. QM, Logistics, Sales, Chartering) and with other stakeholders to coordinate and oversee transports and establish the respective documentation. The Supply Chain Coordinator will supervise the fleet activities and management of KSPC’s railcar fleet.
The successful candidate will:
•Plan and execute efficient and effective network planning
•Execute K+S’s rail distribution planning for internal shipments to warehouses and customer shipments based on weekly supply network planning SAP runs
•Ensure cost optimized utilization of load-out and transportation capacities (assets)
•Coordinate and plan rail shipments with K+S KALI’s SCM unit and mine site staff on a regular basis including a proper monitor and control function of inventory levels
•Oversee availability of goods and loading capacities at mine site and port and take responsibility for the joint planning and scheduling between KPSC, CP Rail and Port facility
•Plan on active Inventory Management to ensure goods availability at final shipping points to customers based on rolling forecast
•Input data accurately and efficiently into K+S SAP ERP System and assure that appropriate transactions are completed in the appropriate manner
•Work with logistic service providers to ensure transfer of product down the supply chain
•Oversee necessary customs regulations and prepare and submit custom clearance documents for exporting product ex Canada
•Work with logistic service provides to establish timely and accurate sales and invoicing documentation
•Oversee Railcar fleet management and supervision
•Plan and communicate laycan and vessel scheduling
•Support the development of the logistics set-up for domestic deliveries in US and Canada

Qualifying requirements for this role:
•Minimum 2 year Community College diploma or relevant degree/certificate in Administration
•3-5 years’ experience in the railway industry
•Experience in railcar fleet management an asset
•Excellent planning skills required
•SAP knowledge, especially ERP an asset
•German language skills an asset
•Rotated evening and weekend on-call shifts will be required
•Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
•Successful candidates must be eligible to travel outside of Canada as travel may be required
