K+S Potash Canada holds Provincial Top Employer Designation for Seventh Year

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – K+S Potash Canada GP (KSPC) has been named one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for the seventh time. This designation follows KSPC being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2020 in November for the third year in a row.

“We appreciate being recognized once again as a Top Employer in our province,” said Sam Farris, President and General Manager, Operations, at K+S Potash Canada. “We believe that it is our employees who differentiate us in this industry. That reason, for example, is why we are making employee development a top priority in 2020.”

The company employs over four hundred people between its mine near Bethune, its headquarters in Saskatoon, and a small logistics office in Port Moody, BC.

“We’re really proud to be among this great group of employers in Saskatchewan,” said Dan Ross, Manager, Human Resources. “It’s a really diverse list of companies and we’re excited to show that there are some really great careers in the mining industry.”

Saskatchewan’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the Leader-Post and The Star Phoenix. Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
