Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – K+S Potash Canada is thrilled to announce we’ve been selected as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for the second year in a row. This special designation recognizes the top 20 companies in Saskatchewan that offer an exceptional place to work for their employees.

“At K+S we know that our employees are at the core of our organization and essential to the success of our company,” says Dr. Ulrich Lamp, President and Chief Executive Officer of K+S Potash Canada. “We work hard to make sure that their suggestions are heard, that they have opportunities for training and development and that they are rewarded for their accomplishments. We foster a healthy working environment with an open-door policy and a diverse total pay package. I think that this award recognizes that, and I hope that it continues to attract the quality employees that we are looking for.”

K+S Potash Canada will be looking to hire more than 150 new employees in 2015 at the Legacy Project, our solution potash mine currently being constructed near Bethune. Kim Poley, Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services at K+S Potash Canada, believes this award will help attract the numbers we’re looking for.

“In the past year, K+S Potash Canada has undertaken tremendous growth and reached many major milestones,” says Poley. “As we continue into 2015, we are specifically seeking operators and tradespeople to work in the production and maintenance areas at the Legacy site. We hope to continue to draw people who are interested in working for a company that is recognized as one of the top employers in the province.”

Saskatchewan’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the Leader-Post and The Star Phoenix. Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
