Grand Opening Ceremony 2 May 2017

K+S Potash Canada celebrated the Grand Opening of Bethune mine on May 2, 2017.

Norbert Steiner, former Chairman of the K+S Executive Board of Directors, congratulates everyone involved in the project, describing the Legacy Project as the largest investment in the company’s history and the most modern potash production facility in the world.

 

Dr. Ralf Bethke, former Chairman of the K+S Supervisory Board, recalls how he and his fellow board members gave the green light to the challenging Legacy Project because it presented an opportunity for something great, an opportunity to strengthen the company’s potash and magnesium business and help secure the future of the K+S. Bethke describes the growing demand for global food production as both a challenge and an opportunity for K+S.

 

Premier Wall reminds guests that they are witnesses to an historic occasion and offers his thanks to K+S for investing in Saskatchewan.
