Rural Economic Development

The Legacy Project will create a significant economic benefit for its immediate surrounding area, as well as the province as a whole. Some of the many impacts include:

• Legacy Project is forecast to increase employment, labour incomes, tax base and population of nearby communities
• All levels of government (local, provincial and federal) will receive new tax revenues from the project
• Construction workforce peaking at around 1,100; more than 320 permanent jobs when in production
• New business opportunities for Saskatchewan companies supplying goods and services to a major industrial development
