Saskatchewan’s first new potash mine in nearly 40 years

K+S Potash Canada’s Legacy Project is located in RM of Dufferin #190 near Bethune and Findlater.

The construction workforce will peak at about 1,100 in 2013, and 320 highly-skilled jobs will have been created once in the mine is in full production plus additional associated contract-based employment.

Initial potash production from the Legacy Project is anticipated in 2015. The mine’s total capacity is 2.86 million tonnes of potassium chloride per year by 2023. With further expansion, production capacity could increase to 4 million tonnes per year.

The Legacy Project is one of the world’s economically most attractive potash greenfield projects.
