Production Supervisor, Loadout

Your Responsibilities

During operation of the facility, the Load Out Production Supervisor will provide direction and oversee the daily activities of the operators and mobile equipment operators in loadout and rail yard to ensure the safe, efficient, operation of the Storage and Loadout areas, and their respective equipment. This includes bulk solids transportation equipment (belts, drags, bucket elevators, etc.), compactors, crushers, screens, treatment systems, warehouses, weigh system and all rail yard equipment and assets

The successful candidate will:
•Oversee the daily activities of the operators and mobile equipment operators in loadout and rail yard.
•Assist with the daily activities of the mobile equipment operators in the product storage buildings.
•Manage and help create the shipping schedule for Bethune Site by working with DE Area Lead, SI and Shipping Coordinator.
•Coordinate rail movements in the yard with Shipping Coordinator and CP.
•Coordinate maintenance and reliability activities in loadout and rail yard as well as identify work for those teams to focus on.
•Identify bottlenecks, optimize processes and work with engineering and site support services to improve the loading operation.
•Communicate instructions for SV’s and operators to follow on nights and weekends.
•Indicate priorities for shift review meetings
•Loading and Shipping reporting and communication of key performance indicators
•Troubleshoot and analyze process to optimize production
•Provide leadership and guidance to ensure compliance with safety, health and environment regulations
•Review and authorize lock out/tag out of area equipment
•Ensure safe operating procedures (SOP’s) are accurate and up to date
•Assist Shift supervisors to ensure operators are trained on appropriate SOP’s and Safety Policies
•Review non routine tasks and ensure safety procedures are followed
•Conduct area walkthrough to ensure safe work conditions
•Ensure adequate materials and resources of area are maintained to minimize downtime and meet shipping demands
•Monitor, schedule, and co-ordinate maintenance within the area to optimize up-time of loading and shipping
•Enter and approve work requests within SAP


Qualifying requirements for this role:
•Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
•Supervisory experience leading/coaching people is required
•Industrial or manufacturing experience required. Industrial or manufacturing experience required.
•10+ years of combined experience in industrial or manufacturing with 3+ years in supervisory or leadership position
•Well-developed consultation and relationship building skills
•Demonstrates effective relationship building skills (participates/leads in team meetings, actively shares knowledge, respects differences of opinions, receives feedback openly)Displays a reasoned perspective and brings resolution to issues while considering all areas of impact
•Oversees work activities to ensure quality work and completion of work assignments.

•Demonstrates working knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations

•Computer skills - MS Office, SAP or other CMMS
•Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
•Successful candidates must be eligible to travel outside of Canada as travel may be required

This is a 10 hour shift position Monday to Thursday. Shift may vary depending upon your department’s schedule and needs.
