The Accounting Administrator (Accounts Payable) is primarily responsible to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor and employee payable transactions and related period-end accruals.
This is a one year term role.
The successful candidate will:
•Ensure accurate processing of vendor and employee payable transactions through invoice verification
•Ensure all relevant invoice documentation is reviewed and archived with the SAP entry
•Support SAP payment proposal preparation and weekly payment runs
•Support Quarter and Year-end financial closings by reviewing and entering appropriate vendor accrual entries
•Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
•Assist the Manager, Accounting and other accounting staff with other duties as assigned

Qualifying requirements for this role:
•Post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting
•3 years of experience in accounting administration / accounts payable
•Demonstrated knowledge of accounting procedures; knowledge of sales tax and withholding tax accounting
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Strong detail-orientation and commitment to accuracy and quality excellence
•Must be authorized to legally work in Canada.
•Experience in SAP accounts payable module
